Year 4 have began our ‘Reach for the Stars’ topic which includes exploring outer space but today we focused on our local space. We made a delicious APPLE AND BERRY CRUMBLE with apples from Mrs Hegarty’s garden and berries collected by Alice and Cillian. Mrs McElmurray brought in flour made in Belfast and butter from Co. Cavan so our ingredients were seasonal and local! The only ingredient that was imported was sugar and it was FairTrade.
Everyone got involved and the best fun was in the eating.
